Every now and then we all need a new beginning, a fresh start that allows us to take advantage of the opportunities that come our way. Opportunities that allow us to reassess ourselves and how close or far away we are from our intended goals. Although very exciting and full of new possibilities and rewards. Starting something new can be challenging, scary and uncomfortable as we venture into unchartered territory.
Sometimes we can all get lost in the routine of life and become victims and or creatures of habits. There could be no place where that statement rings truer than when it comes to our own life’s and businesses. In life and business we are used to doing things a certain way, somewhat successfully, so most of us feel like “why should I do anything different” saying to ourselves “the way I am now is more than fine and has got me this far, successfully”.
But the question is what determines true success? What happens when our levels of success are challenged and maybe even become obsolete because everyone else’s level of success is two or three times greater than our own? Or even more importantly what happens when we start to question ourselves, our habits and the way we think about life and business. What do we do when we don’t like the answers that we find when we begin to ask these questions?
Well for us the only answer was a fresh start. Out with the old and in with the new as they say. So has it been worth it, I hear you ask. Well the honest answer is we don’t know yet. The thing about unchartered territory is that it promises nothing but demands everything from you. Holds just the amount of mystery to keep you intrigued and attractive enough to make you work through and or look past the minor setbacks.
All I can say is that so far so good. We may be at the beginning but already this new journey is shaping up to be full of rewards and new successes.
